Warranty Information
At The Opal Forge, we stand behind the craftsmanship of every piece of jewelry we handcraft. We go to great lengths to ensure your jewelry is of the highest quality and built to last. Our Lifetime Warranty is our commitment to you that your jewelry will remain as exceptional as the day it arrived.
1. Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty
We guarantee that your jewelry will be free from any manufacturing defects.

Coverage: If your item has a defect in its construction, we will repair or replace it free of charge. You must reach out to us within 30 days of receiving your item to report any manufacturing defect.

Evaluation: If you believe your item has a defect, contact us for an evaluation. If the original design is no longer available, we will provide a replacement of equal value.

Precious Materials: For items containing gold, platinum, silver, meteorite, or diamonds, the original item must be returned to us to process a warranty replacement.
2. The Opal Forge "Refresh" (Refinishing)
We want your item to keep its shine. Our Lifetime Warranty includes professional refinishing to address normal wear and tear.

Service: We will buff out scratches and refinish the metal to bring it as close to "new" condition as possible.

Cost: There is no service fee for refinishing; the customer is only responsible for two-way shipping costs.
3. Accidental Damage & Replacement Tiers
If your item is damaged due to reasons beyond manufacturing defects (accidental damage or heavy wear), we still have you covered with our tiered protection:

Year 1 Protection: If your item is damaged within the first year, we will repair or replace it for free. You only cover a $50 shipping and re-polishing fee.

Lifetime Replacement (After Year 1): If your item breaks or wears out after the first year, we will provide a brand-new replacement for a flat $60 deductible. There is no limit to the number of times you can utilize this service.
4. What is Not Covered
To maintain the integrity of our warranty, please note the following exclusions:

Loss or Theft: This is a service warranty, not an insurance policy. It does not cover lost or stolen items.

Third-Party Alterations: Any repairs, resizing, or engravings performed by someone other than Opal Forge will void the warranty.

Size Changes: This warranty does not cover size changes due to weight loss/gain. Size exchanges are only permitted within 30 days of delivery (see our separate Return/Exchange policy).

Specific Material Care: Damage from submersion in water (swimming/showering) is considered misuse and voids the warranty. Discoloration caused by harsh chemicals (hand sanitizer, bleach, pools/hot tubs) is not a manufacturing defect.

Alternative Metals: While Tungsten and Zirconium are scratch-resistant, they are not "scratch-proof" and can break if dropped on hard surfaces.
5. Special Item Policies

Silicone Rings: Purchased silicone rings carry a 1-year warranty and are not eligible for the Lifetime Warranty. Promotional or free silicone rings are excluded from all warranties.

Exchanges: If your original ring is out of stock during a warranty claim, you may select a new style of equal value. The warranty applies only to the original purchase and is non-transferable.
